Dr. Audra Malerba joined the practice of Laserderm Dermatology in 2004. She graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury, N.Y. and completed both her internship and residency at Long Beach Medical Center in Long Beach, New York. She is currently affiliated with St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown, N.Y.
Dr. Malerba specializes in the fields of General and Cosmetic Dermatology. Her expertise has been sought by local media to comment on FDA’s new guidelines concerning SPF (Sun Protection Factor), as well as the detection and prevention of skin cancer.
Dr. Malerba has also researched and published an extensive article on the topic of Scabies and its current dermatological diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Malerba, a lifelong resident of Suffolk County, is a graduate of Ward Melville High School and Stony Brook University. She grew up in East Setauket and currently resides in Stony Brook with her husband and two sons.
