At Laserderm Dermatology the health and safety of our patients is our top priority.
Since the outbreak of this Pandemic, we have and continue to follow all CDC, New York State Department of Health and Suffolk County Department of Health Services guidelines. As medical professionals, we have closely monitored the progression of the COVID -19 virus and have modified our operation accordingly.
Our the staff has been re-trained to adapt and enforce new protocols in an effort to protect every patient entering our facility. As it’s now become the “new normal” all staff are required to wear masks for both their safety as well as patients. Patient appointments have been spaced further apart to avoid overcrowding and allow us extra time to re-sanitize our treatment rooms in between patients. Common areas are also being cleaned throughout the day by our staff and nightly by our cleaning crew.
We have instituted changes to protect the health and safety of our staff and patients. We are currently requesting patients to attend their appointments alone whenever possible. If a companion is needed for the safety of the patient, please limit this to 1 person. We are offering patients the choice of relaxing in their car until the doctor is ready to see them. Social distancing is being enforced in our lobby if patients prefer to wait inside.
If you or a member of your household, have come in contact with a person with COVID-19 or think you might have COVID-19, or have tested positive for the coronavirus or are experiencing symptoms such as a fever and cough, kindly call our staff to reschedule your appointment for a later date. We promise to accommodate you as soon as you’re feeling better.
We here at Laserderm Dermatology remain open and available to see you in person or via a remote teledermatology virtual visit when appropriate. Thank you for your understanding and support.
