Kim Gerin RPA-C is a certified Physician Assistant who joined Laserderm Dermatology in 2011. She received her Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from Stony Brook University. During her studies in the P.A. program, Kim performed clinical rotations in all major fields of medicine, working at various hospitals and offices throughout Long Island. She then went on to specialize in the field of dermatology and pursued supervised training within the field. Kim has a special interest in skin cancer prevention and treatment; performing total body skin exams, biopsies, minor surgeries, and treating various dermatological disorders. Kim focuses on skin cancer treatment as part of our Mohs micro-graphic surgery team. This tissue sparing technique is widely used by dermatologists with great success of minimal to no recurrence. When not in Smithtown, Kim works at our affiliate office in Commack, The New York Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center. Kim is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the New York Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
