Dr. Audra Malerba, DO
Dr. Malerba, joined the practice of Laserderm Dermatology in 2004. She graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury, N.Y. and completed both her internship and residency at Long Beach Medical Center in Long Beach, New York. She is currently affiliated with St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown, N.Y.
Dr. Malerba specializes in the fields of General and Cosmetic Dermatology. Her expertise has been sought by local media to comment on FDA's new guidelines concerning SPF (Sun Protection Factor), as well as the detection and prevention of skin cancer. Dr. Malerba, a lifelong resident of Suffolk County, is a graduate of Ward Melville High School and Stony Brook University. She grew up in East Setauket and currently resides in Stony Brook with her husband and two sons.
Snehal P. Amin, MD
Dr. Amin has been with our practice since 2005. Dr. Amin graduated from Harvard University (magna cum laude) and Albert Einstein College of Medicine (alpha omega alpha). After serving as Chief Resident in dermatology at Cornell's New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Amin completed a one-year dermatologic surgery fellowship. During his educational and professional career, Dr. Amin has been awarded numerous research grants for work in melanoma, laser medicine and skin cancer biology. Dr. Amin currently serves as the Director of Mohs, Laser and Dermatologic Surgery at New York Medical College. Dr. Amin is also an Assistant Professor of Dermatology, where he directs laser research projects and dermatologic surgery education. Dr. Amin’s clinical interests and skills include Mohs micrographic surgery, facial and cosmetic reconstruction, laser resurfacing and pediatric/adult laser surgery.
Dr. Dilip D. Madnani
Dr. Dilip D. Madnani is a facial plastic surgeon who is dual board certified by both the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head& Neck Surgery.Dr Madnani completed his undergraduate studies at Brown University and medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he received a Deanís Recognition award and a distinction in research. After his residency in otolaryngology/head & neck surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Madnani ran two successful private practices in rural New Mexico for 4 years focused on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery of skin cancer defects of the face and neck as well as all aspects of otolaryngology. In NM, he was Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Carlsbad Medical Center and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UNM School of Medicine.
Dr Madnani has been working with MDCS since 2010 to expand and provide specialty cosmetic and surgical care of the face and neck. Dr Madnani has performed a tremendous volume of facial plastic procedures especially face and neck lifts, upper and lower eyelid surgery and fat grafting to the face to improve its shape and decrease lines. Outside of his work at MDCS, Dr Madnani spends time teaching residents and medical students at Jacobi Medical Center, an affiliate and a clinical teaching site of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Kim Cossaro, RPA-C
Kim Cossaro, RPA-C is a board certified Physicians Assistant with specialized training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Kim studied under Mohs Micrographic Surgeon, Dr. Gangaram Ragi who was trained by Dr. Frederick Mohs himself. With Kim’s expertise in the area of dermatology, she has reconstructed over 1,000 cases annually. Kim obtained her undergraduate education at St. Johns University. She graduated, Magna Cum Laude, with a dual degree in physician assistant studies. As a Study Coordinator, Kim studied the efficacy and safety of biological agents in the treatment of moderate to severe plaque type psoriasis. Kim joined the faculty of the department of Biology at Hofstra University where she is an adjunct professor of dermatology as well as a clinical preceptor.
Kim Cossaro’s medical interest centers on diagnosing and treating dermatological disorders. In addition, she is accomplished as a surgical PA and sees most patients prior to, during and after surgery for proper preoperative and postoperative evaluation. Kim is incredibly knowledgeable and continues to update her knowledge through research and her membership in the New York State Derm PA Society and the National Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Esther Levine, RPA
Lisa LaPlante, Licensed Esthetician
Lisa LaPlante has been a member of our practice since 2004 and, through her dedication and continued education, became a licensed Esthetician in 2008.
Lisa complements the care of our medical team by utilizing her exceptional understanding of the science of esthetics and skin biology to recommend the most effective cosmetic procedures and products to patients of all ages.
